1. Who We Are
AmericaReform.org (“we,” “our,” or “us”) exists to share ideas, information, and real conversations about how America can move forward. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being upfront about what we do with your information.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect the information you give us directly—like when you comment, sign up for updates, or reach out through our contact forms. That usually means:
- Name (if you provide it)
- Email address (if you provide it)
- Any info you type in the comment box or contact form
We do not collect your personal info unless you give it to us, period.
Automatically Collected Data
Like every website on the internet, our system (WordPress) collects some technical details automatically:
- Your IP address
- Browser and device info
- Pages you visit on our site
- Time and date of your visit
This is basic stuff that helps us run the site, keep it secure, and understand how people use it.
Cookies
We use cookies. They’re small files stored on your device, and almost every website does it. Here’s why:
- To make the website work right (WordPress needs them)
- To remember if you’ve accepted our cookie notice
- For very basic analytics and site performance
- For research reasons (see below)
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site might not work the way they should.
3. How We Use Your Information
Here’s what we actually do with your info:
- Respond to your messages or comments
- Send updates if you sign up for them
- Analyze website usage so we can improve
- Conduct research for AnyTalkIs (more on that below)
- Protect our website from spam and abuse
We never sell your info.
We don’t give it away to random third parties.
We don’t do shady stuff with your data.
Research: AnyTalkIs
We collect some data—only what you provide or what WordPress collects automatically—for research connected to our project, AnyTalkIs. This research is about understanding what people care about and how they interact with ideas and discussions online. All personal data is handled with respect. We anonymize or aggregate data before using it for research whenever possible.
4. Who Sees Your Info
- Our Team: The small group running AmericaReform.org, and anyone helping us maintain or improve the website.
- Service Providers: We use services like website hosting (WordPress), basic security (Cloudflare or similar), and sometimes email providers to send updates. They only get what’s needed to do the job.
- Legal Requirements: If law enforcement comes knocking with a real, valid legal request, we’ll comply. Otherwise, your data is yours.
5. Your Choices
- Opt Out of Emails: You can unsubscribe from any mailing list any time—just click the link at the bottom of the email.
- Cookies: Control cookies through your browser settings.
- Contact Us: If you want to see, change, or delete the info we have about you, reach out. We’ll make it happen unless the law says we have to keep it.
6. Data Security
We take your privacy seriously and use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website is perfectly secure, but we do what we can to keep your info safe.
7. Children’s Privacy
AmericaReform.org is not meant for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal info from kids. If you think a child has shared personal info with us, contact us and we’ll take care of it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy now and then. If we do, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If it’s a big change, we’ll let you know.
